Tom Altmann, Former Employee,1996
“Travelling through Kananaskis Country reminds one of standing on the threshold to heaven. The gigantic mountains, the rivers, forests and the wildlife create a true perspective for one’s existence. Being employed at a golf course in this magnificent environment is extremely rewarding and gratifying.
The unpredictable nature of the environment demands golf course personnel be alert and flexible in their endeavours. Observing man and animals interacting in such a setting is proof that careful planning and monitoring pays positive dividends.
My nightly routine over the last three years of lying in bed and planning the next day’s chores remains the same. However, I am now more tentative, knowing that anything is possible at a mountain golf course. And yes, I always say a prayer of thanks for having been awarded employment so close to heaven.”
